Property Description for 1385 De Kalb Ave, TWSE

Welcome to 1385 Dekalb Avenue, a boutique two-residence condominium offering a rare, design-forward living experience in the heart of Bushwick.

Defined by scale, privacy, and intention, each home is thoughtfully crafted to deliver a level of finish and individuality seldom found in the neighborhood. Positioned moments from Bushwick's most dynamic dining and retail corridors, the building sits at the intersection of creativity and convenience, where established favorites and emerging concepts shape one of Brooklyn's most compelling residential landscapes.

With a true suburban feel, the townhouse is a spacious three-bedroom, two-bath, and two-half-bath triplex offering 2,199 square feet of interiors and an exceptional 564 square feet of outdoor space via the backyard. The layout composition provides a clear separation between living and private areas, creating a comfortable and well-balanced home.

On the main level, an open kitchen and dining area extends to a west facing backyard that includes a hot tub and pergola creating a bright and inviting setting for everyday living and entertaining. Inside, the chef's kitchen is thoughtfully designed with clean finishes and a high-end appliance package, including a Bertazzoni induction range, double oven, French-door refrigerator, and quartz slab waterfall countertops. White oak herringbone flooring throughout the residence adds warmth and continuity.

The upper level hosts the sleeping quarters, with three well-proportioned bedrooms, each with southeastern exposure and excellent natural light. The primary suite is truly impressive, offering king-size accommodations, abundant storage, and an en-suite bathroom complete with a dual vanity, radiant heated flooring, and oversized dual rainfall shower with steam shower option.

The two secondary bedrooms easily accommodate queen-size and full bedroom sets, supported by generous closet space and a full off-suite bathroom complete with radiant heated flooring found directly across the hallway.

The lower level offers a rare sense of scale and livability, distinguished by its generous ceiling height and a thoughtfully designed layout. This expansive level features an automated projector screen, step footing storage, and an infrared sauna, creating a space equally suited for entertaining, wellness, or everyday living. Radiant heated floors run throughout, providing year round comfort, while a powder room, dedicated laundry room, and direct access to the light well complete the level with an ideal balance of practicality and comfort.

Moments from Wyckoff and Myrtle's most vibrant corridors, 1385 Dekalb is surrounded by destination dining and other social amenities including Queen, Monkey King, Carousel, Lazy Suzy Café, Mood Ring, Maria Hernandez Park, and the neighborhood's signature creative energy-from the Bushwick Collective to a constantly evolving mix of galleries, boutiques, and nightlife. Seamless access to the L and M trains places the rest of Brooklyn and Manhattan within easy reach.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
