Property Description for 19 Hubert Street, 5

This stunning full-floor 2-bedroom loft is bathed in sun throughout the day, glowing golden in the afternoon and crowned by skylights overhead. Offering dual exposures - not common in lofts - the living and dining areas unfold as one grand, open expanse with hardwood floors throughout and large enough for a full dining table and a seating area, with room to spare. Six oversized windows provide a corner perspective and frame Hudson River views. The open kitchen sits beneath a skylight and offers a suite of essential appliances, including a Miele oven and dishwasher, ample custom storage, and a breakfast bar. Wood beams and exposed brick lend authentic loft character. The two bedrooms provide genuine privacy and quiet, served by a skylit bathroom. Storage is a standout: the unit showcases California Closets built-ins throughout, with a dramatic full-height wall of frosted glass-front cabinetry, delivering extensive concealed space. A dedicated mudroom is equipped with a full-sized Miele washer and dryer and further storage. A private keyed elevator opens directly into your own entry foyer. This boutique elevator coop, located in TriBeCa's historic district, is steps from Hudson River Park and all its waterfront offerings, and minutes away from the numerous restaurants, cafes and shops for which the neighborhood is known. The A, C, E and 1 subway lines are readily accessible. Board approval required. Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
