Property Description for 2 Tudor City Place, 10-CN

Quiet, Sunny and Spacious Tudor City 1 Bedroom!

Perched on the 10th floor within one of Tudor City's most desirable buildings, this bright and peaceful one-bedroom home offers classic New York charm, modern convenience and quiet living.

Enter into an oversized foyer which is terrific for storage (and some in the building use as a home office), and you immediately are drawn to the open view over Tudor City's private gardens and historic architecture. The spacious living and dining room allows for multiple furniture configurations, while the large windows frame fabulous city views while filling the apartment with natural light throughout the day. The galley kitchen has been thoughtfully renovated with custom cabinetry, stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, and abundant storage. Whether preparing a quick breakfast or a full dinner, the layout is both efficient and attractive. And you can enjoy hosting while cooking, as it has been opened to the living room.

The oversized bedroom comfortably accommodates a king-size bed and additional furniture, while the double North and East exposures provide excellent light and charming city views. Hardwood parquet floors, generous closet space, and classic prewar proportions complete the home.
Located within the Tudor City Historic District, residents enjoy a unique residential enclave known for its quiet tree-lined parks, beautifully maintained gardens, and convenient Midtown location. Grand Central Terminal, the United Nations, Bryant Park, and countless restaurants, shops, and transportation options are all moments away.

A rare opportunity to enjoy the serenity of Tudor City while remaining at the center of everything Manhattan has to offer.

Tudor City | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Compared to other New York City neighborhoods Tudor City is a bit different. For starters, it's not very big. And technically it's not a neighborhood, it's more along the lines of a residential enclave of Tudor style buildings and parks. Even with the large neon sign boldly exclaiming the enclave's name, Tudor CIty is still a little tricky to find.

Located on the southern edge of Turtle Bay, Tudor City borders Murray Hill and lies on a low cliff which is just east of Second Avenue between 40th and 43rd Street. It overlooks the grounds of the United Nations along First Avenue and the East River beyond.

Tudor City is considered one of the world’s first skyscraper apartment complexes. This was considered a remarkable feat in 1929. Early marketing material, aimed at the middle class, described the development as well-planned, well-built, and well-priced housing. Developer Fred F. Finch designed Tudor City to keep middle class residents in Manhattan as many were fleeing the city for the suburbs.
