Property Description for 26 Goodwin Place, 4-R

Welcome to Unit 4R at 26 Goodwin Place, a thoughtfully designed one-bedroom, one-bathroom residence offering 575 square feet of bright, modern living in the heart of Bushwick.

The home opens into an expansive living and dining area, where oversized windows draw in natural light and frame open neighborhood views. With generous proportions and a seamless layout, the space easily accommodates both everyday living and entertaining.

Positioned along the rear of the home, the kitchen blends clean contemporary design with everyday functionality, featuring custom cabinetry, stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, and ample storage.

The bedroom is quietly tucked away from the main living area, creating a peaceful retreat filled with soft natural light. A large closet and well-proportioned layout provide both comfort and practicality.

The bathroom is finished with a modern palette of oversized tile, a floating wood vanity, and a walk-in rain shower.

Additional features include wide-plank oak flooring, split-system heating and cooling, an in-unit washer and dryer, and oversized windows throughout.

Residents also enjoy access to a common rooftop terrace with sweeping skyline and treetop views-an inviting extension of the home for relaxing, gathering with friends, or enjoying warm summer evenings.

Located near Bushwick's vibrant dining, nightlife, and café scene, the building is moments from local favorites, the Bed-Stuy Community Garden, and Saratoga Park. Convenient access to the J, Z, and L trains makes commuting throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan effortless.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
