Property Description for 38 Wilson Ave, 2-C

Welcome to Residence 2C at 38 Wilson Avenue, a thoughtfully designed one-bedroom, one-bathroom home spanning 593 square feet in the heart of Bushwick.

A welcoming foyer with custom open shelving leads into the bright, open-concept living and dining area, where oversized windows frame leafy treetop views and bring in beautiful natural light throughout the day. The space is comfortably proportioned for both everyday living and entertaining, while the open kitchen blends seamlessly into the layout with stainless steel appliances, ample cabinetry, and the convenience of an in-unit washer and dryer.

Privately tucked away from the main living area, the spacious bedroom offers a quiet retreat with room to accommodate a king-sized bed and additional furnishings. A custom walk-in closet provides exceptional storage and organization rarely found in homes of this scale.

The bathroom is finished in natural stone and features a glass-enclosed walk-in rain shower, creating a simple, spa-like atmosphere.

Additional highlights include rich hardwood flooring, generous closet space, oversized windows, and an efficient layout that maximizes every square foot.

Set within a boutique condominium, Residence 2C also offers remarkably low carrying costs, with annual real estate taxes of just $159 and monthly common charges of $352.

Perfectly positioned in Bushwick, the home is moments from the Morgan Avenue and Jefferson Street L trains, as well as the Central Avenue M train, placing some of the neighborhood's best coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, and nightlife within easy reach.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
