Property Description for 70 Vestry Street, 5-B

Residence 5B at 70 Vestry is an impeccably finished, move-in-ready corner home offering approximately 3,242 square feet, dramatic water views, four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, one powder room, a deeded parking space, and a private storage room.

A gracious entry foyer introduces the home's expansive entertaining spaces, leading to a dramatic 34-foot great room framed by oversized west- and north-facing windows overlooking the Hudson River. Bathed in natural light throughout the day, the living and dining areas offer an exceptional setting for both intimate gatherings and large-scale entertaining, with spectacular sunset views serving as a daily backdrop.

Separated by striking custom steel-and-glass sliding doors, the windowed eat-in kitchen has been thoughtfully designed for both everyday living and serious cooking. Handcrafted oak cabinetry is paired with Bardiglio Luco marble countertops and a premium suite of appliances including dual Miele dishwashers, a dual-fuel range with pot filler, combi-steam oven, built-in wall oven, coffee system, Sub-Zero wine refrigeration, and extensive custom storage.

Occupying its own private wing, the primary suite enjoys peaceful northern exposures over Debrosses Street. The suite includes a generous dressing room with multiple custom closets and vanity area, while the luxurious five-fixture bath is finished in Statuary Monarch marble and features radiant heated floors, a deep soaking tub, fluted glass shower, dual vanity, towel warmer, and separate water closet.

Three additional bedrooms each offer ensuite bathrooms, generous proportions, and excellent closet space, creating an ideal layout for family and guests.

Additional highlights include a dedicated laundry room with double washers, vented dryers and utility sink, an elegant lacquer-and-marble wet bar, powder room, wide-plank white oak flooring, approximately 10-foot ceilings, central air with advanced filtration and humidity control, integrated Sonos audio, and automated window treatments throughout.

Designed by acclaimed architect Robert A.M. Stern with interiors by AD100 designer Daniel Romualdez, 70 Vestry has become one of downtown Manhattan's most celebrated residential addresses. Residents arrive through a discreet porte-cochère on picturesque cobblestone Vestry Street and enjoy the privacy of a beautifully landscaped interior courtyard.

The building delivers an exceptional lifestyle with white-glove service, including full-time doormen, concierge, and Luxury Attaché services. Residents also enjoy more than 8,000 square feet of resort-quality amenities, including an 82-foot swimming pool, children's pool, regulation squash court, Wright Fit fitness center, yoga and Pilates studios, private dining and entertaining rooms, residents' lounge, billiards room, café, and a children's playroom designed by Roto.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
