Sun-Filled West Chelsea Residence with Expansive Proportions. Perched on the fifth floor of The Chelsea Enclave, this generously sized two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home offers a rare blend of volume, light, and timeless design. Spanning approximately 1,610 square feet, the home immediately impresses with an airy living space where ceilings soar to 10.5 feet and meet a dramatic expanse of south-facing, floor-to-ceiling glass. The thoughtful, split-bedroom layout provides exceptional privacy and flow. The primary suite is a true retreat, featuring two walk-in closets and a spa-inspired five-fixture bath adorned with Botticino Fiorito marble, radiant heated floors, a deep Kohler Tea-for-Two soaking tub, glass-enclosed shower, and double vanity. The secondary bedroom is equally well-proportioned and ideally situated for guests or a large home office. At the heart of the home is a sleek, open chef’s kitchen designed for both everyday living and entertaining, complete with a generous island and a suite of premium appliances including a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a Sub-Zero 40-bottle stainless steel wine cooler, a four-burner Wolf range and oven with a fully vented Miele stainless steel hood, and a Bosch dishwasher. Additional highlights include 5.5 inch wide-plank oak hardwood floors, an in-unit vented Miele washer and dryer, and motorized window shades. Bathed in southern light, the apartment features tranquil views over tree-lined West 20th Street, with open sky and a charming view of historic Chelsea townhomes, including one of the neighborhood’s oldest residences, dating back to the early 19th century. Residents enjoy direct access to the serene grounds of the neighboring General Theological Seminary, known as The Close, creating a rare sense of openness and park greenery. Ideally positioned near the High Line, world-class galleries, celebrated restaurants, and multiple subway lines. Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
