Property Description for 211 East 13th Street, PH-C

Penthouse C is a bright and modern two-bedroom, two-bathroom condominium residence with two outdoor spaces - including an extraordinary private, landscaped 1,000 square foot rooftop oasis. This one-of-a-kind penthouse is located atop The Jefferson, a full-service, eco-friendly LEED certified building at 211 East 13th Street, on a serene, tree-lined Village block between Third and Second Avenues, just moments from Union Square.

Every room of this remarkable split two-bedroom loft-like home features bright southern exposures. An expansive great room with built-ins looks out over the East Village and beyond. The open chef's kitchen features Eggersmann natural oak cabinetry and top-of-the-line appliances including a seamlessly integrated 36" Sub-Zero refrigerator with freezer drawers, a Sub-Zero 25-bottle wine refrigerator, Monogram gas range with an outside vented hood, and a Bosch dishwasher.

The primary bedroom has its own 124 square foot terrace, and boasts an oversized closet and and en-suite luxurious bathroom outfitted with a radiant heated Basaltina stone floor, honed limestone walls, a double vanity crafted from reclaimed barn wood, and premium fixtures by LeFroy Brooks and Restoration Hardware. On the other side of this home, a bright hallway with a wall of glass leads to the spacious secondary bedroom which also looks out over East 13th Street.

The crown jewel of this phenomenal home is the enormous 1000 square foot rooftop terrace. It features a plumbed Kalamazoo gas barbecue grill, a separate Grillworks grill, irrigation system, landscape lighting, and city views, making this unparalleled terrace the ultimate outdoor entertaining venue.

Other highlights of PHC include an LG washer and dryer, Somfy shade automation system, custom window treatments and lighting, lofty 9'2" ceiling heights, central air conditioning and heating, and wide-plank oak flooring throughout.

The building features a 24/7 doorman and live-in resident manager, state-of-the-art fitness facility, resident lounge and business center. PHC’s massive private roof deck also can connect to the building’s furnished rooftop landscaped by Town & Gardens, which has similar panoramic views and is appointed with an outdoor shower, multiple barbecue grills and a pergola.

The Jefferson is a luxury condominium conveniently situated at the nexus of Greenwich Village, East Village, Union Square and Gramercy with proximity to some of New York City’s finest restaurants, shopping, markets (Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods), and parks (Union Square, Stuyvesant Square and Tompkins Square). The building, on the former site of the famous vaudeville era Jefferson Theater, showcases a dramatic design by award-winning BKSK Architects that pays homage to the location's storied past.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
