Property Description for 55 Berry Street, 4-D

This Is Brooklyn Loft Living for People Who Have Something to Say. Come Make Some Noise. Some apartments ask you to fit in. This one asks you to show up. Soaring ceilings, oversized windows, and a sprawling open layout give 4D the kind of energy that turns a Tuesday night at home into the main event. It's loft living with an edge, the kind of space where your record collection, your art, and your people all want to be seen. At 19' x 21'6", the living room is built for scale. 13-foot ceilings make it perfect for a large dinner party, or leave it wide open and let the light do the talking. Oversize windows flood the space, built-in bookshelves making your days a time for a quieter recharge. A Bedroom That Doubles as a Gallery: The primary interior bedroom accentuates the home's unique style with shiny white tufted triple doors that rotate open or closed. Enclosed or open. The sleek clean spa-like bathroom is straight out of a photo shoot. Beautiful double vanities and a massive open shower. Sitting right at the center of the action, a sleek XL open chef's kitchen, white center island, pantry and high-end appliances all complete with a closeted washer dryer. Flexible by Design: Right now, 4D lives as an open, art-forward 2-bedroom. But the layout doesn't lock you in. A second bedroom is already framed by the current footprint and can easily be finished into a more formal room if that's what your life calls for next, delivered that way on request. The unit can also be delivered partially furnished for a small premium. Walk in, drop your bags, start living. Tucked inside one of Williamsburg's most iconic addresses, 55 Berry backs up its personality with real infrastructure: a part-time attended lobby (7 AM–11 PM), a landscaped roof deck with grills, a recently renovated 2,000-square-foot fitness center, bike storage, and elevator access

Williamsburg | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Equal parts family-friendly and millennial haven/nightlife destination, Williamsburg offers the best of all worlds. Whether by night or by day, the ‘Burg has endless options for every type of personality and interest--which has only increasingly become the case after the neighborhood was rezoned in 2005. With the floodgate opened for more varied types of businesses, Williamsburg saw one of the highest rates of development in the past decade than any other part of Brooklyn.

Referred to as “Little Berlin” for its late night and club-oriented nature, Williamsburg works as hard as it plays. Apart from the Clubland concentrated around Wythe Avenue, there is also a slew of offices (like 25 Kent Avenue, a sprawling eight-floor, 500,000-square foot waterfront building) and co-working spaces such as WeWork, The Yard and Green Desk that make it an ideal location for the corporate-, startup- and tech-oriented set.

With more offices setting their sights on this part of Brooklyn, it only makes sense that more people want to live close to where they work. Apart from your average walk-up apartment, W-burg has famously become home to numerous condos along the waterfront that continue to grow and expand in concert with the businesses and corporate hubs that have entered the environment.

Even with its many and undeniable changes, however, Williamsburg remains an arts-friendly community, particularly with regard to music and literature. While DIY spaces have come and gone, certain staples have persisted to become institutions that still provide a place for up and coming musicians to perform. On the literary front, long-standing indie bookstores like Spoonbill and Sugartown and Book Thug Nation have paved the way for others to cross the river, namely McNally Jackson Books.
