Property Description for 480 Park Ave, 8-A

Welcome to Residence 8A at 480 Park Avenue, an expansive and beautifully appointed home designed with the timeless sophistication of Emery Roth's vision. This grand six-room residence offers a rare combination of prewar architecture and iconic Park Avenue views.

From a semi-private elevator vestibule, step into two gracious entry galleries that set the tone for the scale of the home. The elegant, living room overlooks Park Avenue and flows seamlessly into the formal dining room, ideal for both everyday living and refined entertaining.
The windowed, eat-in kitchen is thoughtfully designed with custom storage and abundant counter space. A separate staff room offers flexibility as an office, guest space, laundry room or additional storage.

Two well-proportioned bedrooms each feature en-suite baths and generous closets and built-ins. Additional highlights include triple-paned windows, a washer/dryer, and an exceptional amount of hidden built-in closet space.

480 Park Avenue is one of the avenue's most distinguished white-glove cooperatives. Residents enjoy a full-time doorman and concierge, a landscaped rooftop terrace, fitness center, laundry room, and private storage. Some utilities are included in the low monthly maintenance, supported in part by the building's commercial income.
Located at the crossroads of Midtown and the Upper East Side, just two blocks from Central Park and moments from world-class shopping, dining, and cultural destinations. 480 Park Avenue offers an unparalleled Manhattan lifestyle. Nearby subways include 4, 5, 6, N, R, W, F, Q, E. M.

Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
