Property Description for 2 Tudor City Place, 4-HS

RARE 3-BEDROOM IN TUDOR CITY - SOLD AS-IS, BRING YOUR VISION

Space, light, and possibility come together in this expansive three-bedroom, two-bathroom residence at 2 Tudor City Place.

This is a home with the kind of scale that is increasingly difficult to find in Manhattan. The generous footprint offers three proper bedrooms, two full bathrooms, distinct living and dining areas, a welcoming entry foyer, and abundant storage-giving the next owner room to create a home that truly reflects their needs.
The apartment is being offered as-is and presents a compelling renovation opportunity. Its generous proportions and existing layout provide an excellent foundation for a thoughtful transformation, whether the vision is a sophisticated prewar-inspired renovation or a clean, contemporary city residence.

The south-facing living room brings natural light into the main living space, while the separate dining area provides flexibility for both everyday living and entertaining. The three-bedroom configuration also offers versatility for a growing household, guests, or dedicated home-office space.

Located in the distinctive Tudor City enclave, 2 Tudor City Place combines the tranquility and architectural character of a historic residential neighborhood with the convenience of
Midtown Manhattan. Grand Central, the United Nations, Bryant Park, and the city's East Side business and cultural destinations are all within easy reach.
For one who values volume, location, and the opportunity to create rather than compromise, this is a rare chance to take a substantial Manhattan residence and make it your own.

Tudor City | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Compared to other New York City neighborhoods Tudor City is a bit different. For starters, it's not very big. And technically it's not a neighborhood, it's more along the lines of a residential enclave of Tudor style buildings and parks. Even with the large neon sign boldly exclaiming the enclave's name, Tudor CIty is still a little tricky to find.

Located on the southern edge of Turtle Bay, Tudor City borders Murray Hill and lies on a low cliff which is just east of Second Avenue between 40th and 43rd Street. It overlooks the grounds of the United Nations along First Avenue and the East River beyond.

Tudor City is considered one of the world’s first skyscraper apartment complexes. This was considered a remarkable feat in 1929. Early marketing material, aimed at the middle class, described the development as well-planned, well-built, and well-priced housing. Developer Fred F. Finch designed Tudor City to keep middle class residents in Manhattan as many were fleeing the city for the suburbs.
