Property Description for 105 Lexington Ave, 1-A

105 Lexington Ave #1A — A rare Brooklyn find: two deeded spaces in one loft building, on the border of Clinton Hill and Bed Stuy, steps from the G at Classon and neighborhood favorites like Speedy Romeo, Bar Birba, and Don’t Call Me Shirley. Easy street parking too. Picture this: you wake up on a sunny Brooklyn morning and sip coffee on your covered terrace. Toss in a load of laundry, get ready for the day, and head out the door, except you never actually leave the building. One floor down, past the gym you’re planning to hit later, is your own 1,300 sq ft work space: computer, desk, easel, jewelry making station, whatever your day calls for. Commute: one elevator ride. The Apartment (1,276 sq ft) Sunlit 2 bed, 1 bath with 11 foot ceilings, central air, and a private covered terrace. The primary suite has terrace access, two closets, and three exposures. Spa like bath with walk in shower, jacuzzi tub, and double sinks. Chef’s kitchen with full size appliances, gas cooking, and a curved breakfast bar opening to the dining area. Flexible double living room, original factory floors, exposed pipes and ductwork, lofted storage, in unit washer/dryer, video intercom, and recessed lighting throughout. The Studio/Work Space (approx. 1,300 sq ft, downstairs) A blank canvas with 10.5 foot ceilings, abundant natural light, an open floor plan, and its own half bath. Perfect for a studio, design work, or creative office. Building Amenities Key fob door access, video intercom, bike storage just inside the front door, elevator, mail room, gym, and two roof decks.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
