Just two blocks from the new Whole Foods and moments from transit, the home offers both elevated owner living and strong investment potential. Positioned on a 20 x 100 lot, the building spans approximately 20 x 58 and offers roughly 3,400 square feet of meticulously renovated space. Zoned R6, the property also carries future development potential of approximately 4,400 buildable square feet. Annual taxes are $5,026 ($419/month). Upper Owner’s Duplex Bathed in natural light beneath soaring ceilings and three skylights, the upper duplex has been meticulously curated with rich natural materials and bespoke detailing throughout. Warmth and scale exist in quiet harmony, enhanced by restored architectural elements and sculptural brass accents. At the heart of the home is a grand custom oak kitchen wrapped in striking Verde Alpi Italian marble. Designed for both intimate evenings and large gatherings, it features a 36” gas range, oversized center island, double pantry closets, deep drawer bases, and a microwave drawer. Appliances include Bosch and Z-Line, complemented by Buster & Punch hardware, lighting, and door details, along with brass switches and fixtures throughout. The living spaces flow seamlessly with an oversized living room anchored by a custom oak media wall, opening through large folding glass doors to a private landscaped backyard enclosed by custom iron and cedar fencing. Comfort and performance are elevated with central HVAC featuring hyper heat technology, natural oak hardwood flooring, 8-foot solid wood doors, restored newel post, and refined millwork throughout. The primary suite offers a sanctuary of exceptional proportions, evoking the feel of a boutique hotel. It includes two walk-in closets and a spa-like bathroom with a 72” double vanity, skylight, rain shower with hand spray, and brass Kohler x Studio McGee fixtures. Secondary bedrooms are generously sized with ample storage. Additional highlights include a powder room with Calacatta Viola floating marble vanity, GE Profile washer/dryer on the top floor, restored cornice, and Google Nest doorbell system. Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
