Property Description for 90 Beekman Street, 3-J

Bright and sizable three-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom home with excellent sunlight and desirable south-east exposure, in the highly sought-after Southbridge Towers cooperative! A blank canvas ready for you to design your dream home-at an unbeatable price per square foot and an extraordinarily low maintenance of just $1,369, which includes electricity and all utilities.

Three-bedroom apartments at Southbridge Towers are rarely available and make up only a small fraction of the homes in the cooperative, so this is a genuine opportunity. Step inside and you're welcomed by a voluminous living area bathed in natural light, thanks to the home's south-east exposure and a large wall of windows. The generous kitchen is double-entranced and can be opened up to the living area if you prefer a more modern, open flow. Every bedroom is substantial in size, and the primary bedroom features a walk-in closet.

Southbridge Towers is one of Downtown's most coveted cooperatives-prized for its spacious apartments, competitive pricing, and remarkably low maintenance that covers all utilities. This home also offers direct access to a parking garage where shareholders enjoy preferential rates, along with auxiliary storage spaces on the same floor.

Perfectly positioned in prime FiDi, you're just steps from the vibrant restaurants and nightlife of the Seaport and Tribeca, and moments from some of the city's most convenient transit: the A, C, E, 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, R, W, J, and Z trains.

Seaport District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Seaport District sits between the Financial District to the south and the Brooklyn Bridge to the north. The original Seaport designation was limited to the streets east of Water Street from Fletcher Street to Dover Street and incorporated the actual Seaport and the piers. But no more. Today, the neighborhood boundaries have expanded westward toward Park Row and include a surge of new developments in the area around Pace University and City Hall Park.

This is not your father’s Seaport. It is no longer a commercial hub and the seafood industry, which operated out of the port for nearly two hundred years, has been displaced. The older low-rise buildings that line these cobblestoned streets have been repositioned, the SouthBridge towers complex to the east of Water Street has gone free market, multiple commercial buildings have been converted to residential usage and new gleaming residential towers are rising on the site of the iconic J&R Music World which once lined the east side of Park Row.

Still, the Seaport is a small neighborhood, particularly quaint just north of Beekman Street. The streets are dominated by century-old warehouses and maritime buildings which gives the neighborhood its overt character. The Brooklyn Bridge, on its northern edge, looms in the backdrop.
