Welcome to this light-filled, sun-drenched studio on a high floor, facing north and east with fabulous views over the East River, the United Nations, and the 59th Street Bridge. Beamed 8'6" ceilings, hardwood floors, and casement windows give this classic studio its charm, and a newly renovated bathroom and efficient kitchenette round it out.

Live in a charming village in the midst of a bustling city. Tudor City, a designated New York City landmark district in the heart of Midtown, sits between 40th and 43rd Streets above First and Second Avenues. 45 Tudor City Place, known as Prospect Tower, is a neo-Gothic pre-war building across from two leafy parks, with a gym, restaurant, and small deli just steps away - so your daily needs can be met without ever leaving Tudor City. 45 Tudor City Place is a historic, full-service pre-war coop with a full-time doorman, live-in superintendent, newly furnished lobby, landscaped roof deck with incredible city views, laundry room, and storage and bike rooms. A gym is also available in a nearby building for a nominal monthly fee. Maintenance includes electricity. 80% financing, co-purchasing, gifting, and pieds-à-terre are permitted; investors and dogs are not.

Tudor City | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Compared to other New York City neighborhoods Tudor City is a bit different. For starters, it's not very big. And technically it's not a neighborhood, it's more along the lines of a residential enclave of Tudor style buildings and parks. Even with the large neon sign boldly exclaiming the enclave's name, Tudor CIty is still a little tricky to find.

Located on the southern edge of Turtle Bay, Tudor City borders Murray Hill and lies on a low cliff which is just east of Second Avenue between 40th and 43rd Street. It overlooks the grounds of the United Nations along First Avenue and the East River beyond.

Tudor City is considered one of the world’s first skyscraper apartment complexes. This was considered a remarkable feat in 1929. Early marketing material, aimed at the middle class, described the development as well-planned, well-built, and well-priced housing. Developer Fred F. Finch designed Tudor City to keep middle class residents in Manhattan as many were fleeing the city for the suburbs.
