Property Description for 60-64 Catalpa Ave, 2-B

Residence 2B is a thoughtfully designed one-bedroom residence that blends intelligent space planning, elevated finishes, and abundant natural light to create a home that lives far larger than its footprint. Every square foot has been carefully considered to maximize functionality while maintaining an open and inviting atmosphere.

The heart of the home is an expansive open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area that creates a seamless flow for both everyday living and entertaining. Oversized Pella windows bring natural light into the residence throughout the day, while the efficient layout provides dedicated spaces for relaxing, dining, and working from home.

The kitchen is beautifully appointed with custom European solid hardwood cabinetry, Calacatta Miraggio Cove stone countertops and backsplash, and a fully integrated suite of premium paneled appliances including a Blomberg refrigerator, Bertazzoni range with externally vented hood, and Bosch dishwasher. Thoughtfully designed storage and vented cooking further elevate the space.

Privately positioned away from the living area, the bedroom comfortably accommodates a queen-sized bed while offering generous closet space and a quiet retreat from the main entertaining areas. Large windows enhance the bright and airy feel throughout the home.

Finishes have been selected with both style and longevity in mind, including wide-plank California white oak engineered flooring and a beautifully detailed Porcelanosa bathroom featuring a floating vanity, floating toilet, and sleek glass-enclosed shower.

Additional comforts include Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat central air conditioning, enhanced sound insulation, ButterflyMX smart access control, and fully vented in-unit laundry-features rarely found together in homes of this size.

Located on a quiet tree-lined block moments from Ridgewood's most beloved destinations, including Rolo's, Hellbender, Il Gigante, Pierogi Boys, Ridgewood Coffee Company, and Variety Coffee, Catalpa House offers the perfect balance of neighborhood character and modern convenience. Easy access to the M train at Fresh Pond Road and Forest Avenue, along with nearby L train connections, provides a straightforward commute while preserving the relaxed residential charm that has made Ridgewood one of New York City's most desirable neighborhoods.

Residence 2B presents a rare opportunity to own a meticulously crafted boutique condominium home where thoughtful design, premium finishes, and exceptional value come together seamlessly.

Ridgewood | Queens

Quick Profile

Unique for being a symbolic and literal bridge between Brooklyn and Queens, Ridgewood incorporates both distinct elements of these boroughs into its persona. Originally considered part of Brooklyn, the neighborhood broke off with Bushwick in the 1700s at a point called, appropriately, Arbitration Rock. When the blackout of 1977 occurred, the residents of Ridgewood only further wanted to dissociate themselves from their Bushwick neighbors as the bedlam that ensued in between the looting and the riots made them feel just a tad superior.

And yet, just because its zip code changed didn’t mean Ridgewood could ever fully break free from its proximity and entwined identity with Bushwick. Pegged as the next “it” destination and hipster haven to move to circa 2016, Ridgewood has surprised many with its steady pace of growth, therefore well-maintained “neighborhood” feel.

Rife with quiet blocks filled with quaint, colorful buildings, Ridgewood offers the bodegas and local businesses one also expects of “old world” Brooklyn. An increase in the number of coffee shops, bars and DIY venues have continued its natural association with Bushwick, however, the deeper into the neighborhood you go, the more apparent it becomes that Ridgewood is very much its own very Queensian thing.
