Property Description for 101 Wall Street, 11-C

A Rarely Available 1,263 SF Two-Bedroom at Wall by the Water. Welcome to 11C at 101 Wall Street, a beautifully designed 1,263-square-foot, split two-bedroom, two-bathroom residence in Wall by the Water, where classic Art Deco architecture meets sophisticated modern living at the intersection of Wall Street and the South Street Seaport. With generous eastern exposure and oversized casement windows, this home is filled with natural light throughout the day. The gracious living and dining area features wide-plank herringbone oak floors, beamed 9'6" ceilings, and custom oversized windows, creating an elegant yet comfortable setting for both everyday living and entertaining. At the heart of the home is an open-concept chef's kitchen designed by renowned Dutch designer Piet Boon, featuring custom white-oak cabinetry, honed marble countertops, a generous island/peninsula, abundant storage, and a full suite of Bosch appliances. The thoughtful layout keeps the kitchen connected to the living and dining areas while maintaining separation. The split-bedroom layout provides exceptional privacy. The spacious primary suite features a large walk-in closet and an impressive en-suite marble bathroom with dual vanities, a deep soaking tub, and a separate glass-enclosed shower. The second bedroom is generously proportioned and positioned on the opposite side of the residence, making it ideal as a guest room, home office, or private bedroom. Additional features include an in-unit Bosch washer/dryer, central air, custom interior doors, recessed lighting, 11-inch baseboards, and private storage on the same floor. Beyond the residence, 101 Wall Street offers an amenity package that rivals much larger luxury buildings. Residents enjoy a 24-hour doorman, a landscaped rooftop terrace with outdoor seating and a gas grill, a fitness studio, sauna and steam room, golf simulator, residents' lounge with bar and catering kitchen, library, children's playroom, game room, bike room, and private storage. Originally built in 1931 as an Art Deco office building, 101 Wall Street was thoughtfully converted into condominium residences in 2017, with interiors by Piet Boon, preserving the building's character while introducing contemporary luxury. And the location is exceptional: one block from the East River waterfront, moments from the South Street Seaport, Wall Street, restaurants, shopping, and the NYC Ferry at Pier 11, with an extensive selection of subway lines nearby. A gracious two-bedroom with the space, light, layout, and amenities buyers want—at one of Downtown Manhattan's most distinctive addresses. The tax amount does NOT reflect the 17.5% primary residence abatement.

Financial District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Financial District (FiDi) today is a bit of a hybrid neighborhood, as the residential component continues to grow in an area that has been historically dominated by the financial and insurance industries. The residential experiment, which began more than two decades ago, continues to evolve in an area with a large concentration of older, large office buildings. Developers have taken to these aged buildings and have re-positioned them as residential properties. In turn, the public spaces, services and retail establishments needed for a thriving residential neighborhood have followed making this an important destination for city residents.

Since 2000, the residential population of the Financial District has nearly tripled in size from about 23,000 residents to more than 60,000 inhabitants. Many of the residential pioneers to FiDi were people attracted to the lower rents in the neighborhood, particularly the post-collegiate crowd. While the millennials still maintain a large footprint here, there are plenty of families that now consider the Wall Street area home.

Many of those that live in the Financial District walk to work. If you reside here and need to commute elsewhere, the transportation from here is about as good as it gets. Express trains can take you to Midtown, either east or west, in twenty minutes. Brooklyn is but a single subway stop away. There are also ferries across to Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
