Property Description for 435 West 19th Street, MAISONETTE

West Chelsea Loft Maisonette

At 2,163 square feet, this expansive two-bedroom plus home office, three-bath residence at 435 West 19th Street offers exceptional scale, volume, and character. Soaring 14-foot ceilings, oversized casement windows, and wide-plank white oak floors lend the home a distinctly loft-like sensibility, while direct, elevator-free access provides an unusual degree of ease and privacy-the feeling of townhouse living paired with the amenities of a full-service boutique condominium.

A dramatic entry gallery opens into an expansive living and dining space, where exceptional proportions accommodate multiple seating areas, large-scale entertaining, art, and comfortable everyday living.

At the heart of the residence is a striking chef's kitchen anchored by a 12-foot waterfall island of Brazilian Luca de Luna quartzite. Floor-to-ceiling custom cabinetry provides abundant storage, while a comprehensive suite of appliances includes a fully integrated double Miele refrigerator and freezer, double ovens, wine refrigerator, vented hood, microwave, dishwasher, and professional-grade gas cooktop.

A separate home office offers valuable flexibility as a private workspace, media room, library, or den. Thoughtfully removed from the main living areas, the private bedroom wing creates a welcome sense of separation. Both bedrooms are generously proportioned, with excellent closet space and ensuite baths. The three beautifully appointed baths feature natural stone, radiant heated floors, custom oak vanities, Watermark fixtures, and oversized rainfall showers. Additional features include an extra-large vented LG washer and dryer, integrated home automation, and sound-attenuated windows.

435 West 19th Street is an intimate boutique condominium offering a 24-hour attended lobby, private fitness center, bicycle storage, package rooms, and a furnished rooftop terrace with grilling stations and sweeping skyline views.

Set in the heart of West Chelsea, just moments from the High Line, the loft is surrounded by the neighborhood's celebrated galleries, restaurants, boutiques, and cultural destinations, with Hudson River Park nearby and convenient access to the 1, A, C, E, and L trains.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
