Property Description for 55 Warren Street, PH

55 Warren Street, PH

The Penthouse at 55 Warren Street offers what few Tribeca residences can: nearly 6,000 square feet of light-filled interiors, two private terraces, and an Endless Swimming Pool, all within a home inspired by Italian contemporary design. Four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms span two stories, while more than 1,300 square feet of outdoor space extends the residence into the downtown sky. Designed by Leopoldo Rosati in collaboration with OCV Architects, the penthouse favors precision over excess, pairing natural materials and muted hues with exemplary craftsmanship and attention to detail for a result as confident as it is restrained.

Step out of the elevator and, through sliding floor-to-ceiling glass doors, the first of those two terraces appears, home to a cutting-edge Endless Swimming Pool. Inside, three lounge areas unfold in succession beneath a skylight.

A sunlit court draws daylight through the heart of the residence, framed by a gallery that connects the spaces on either side. A dining room stretches beneath a second skylight, open to the stairwell below. Beside it, the chef's kitchen is anchored by a generous island and outfitted with Miele, Wolf, and Sub-Zero appliances and custom Italian-made cabinetry. A study offers a quiet place to work, and a powder room is tucked discreetly nearby. The sixth floor concludes with the second terrace, a 34-foot retreat where lush planters and a wood pergola create a private garden oasis. There is dining and a BBQ in place for entertaining.

Descend to the bedroom level, where the same sunlit court and gallery continue the flow of light and spaciousness. A primary suite anchors each end of the floor, each a serene retreat with walk-in closets and a well-appointed bath, one of them with a fireplace. Two additional bedrooms, each with a private bath, and a laundry room complete the level.

Behind a historic Italianate limestone facade, 55 Warren Street is an intimate boutique condominium in the heart of Tribeca. Built in 2015, the building offers a part-time doorman and concierge, a 24-hour virtual doorman, a fitness center, bicycle storage, and an extra-large individual storage unit for every home.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
