Property Description for 211 East 51st Street, 9-F

Located in the heart of midtown, this beautiful light- filled corner apartment features oversized windows and classic New York views. The boutique style one bedroom can be easily converted to fit anyone's idea of a dream home. Just under 900 sq ft. this unique apartment boasts an extra wide, 32 ft long living space- which can easily be separated into a spacious living and dining area while still able to accommodate the largest of furniture. The 4" wide white solid oak flooring and 4 custom fitted closets complete this serenely designed home to perfect move-in condition. In addition to the large living space, the master bedroom spares no luxury. The bedroom can easily accommodate a king sized bed as well as living furniture, a crib, or desk. Perfect for a home chef, the spacious kitchen features white oak cabinetry, brushed stainless style backsplash, honed Calcutta gold marble countertops, and top-of the line Bosch appliances. The windowed bathroom has been elegantly appointed with marble and glazed tile, a custom frameless shower door, and Hansgrohe chrome fixtures. Located in the rear of the building, 9F is a quiet oasis. Soaring high above neighboring buildings, the oversized windows flood the apartment with light as well as classic city views but spare the classic city noise. The close proximity to the Greenacre waterfall provides the apartment with a soothing sound of relaxation, drowning out the midtown buzz. In addition to the beauty of the apartment itself, the location is optimal. Only steps away from the E, M, and 6 Trains, navigating the city doesn’t get any easier. Converted in 2008, this building was thoughtfully designed by internationally renowned designer, Shamir Shah. This luxurious condominium conversion is an oasis of serene elegance. Perhaps the best kept secret is the adjacent award-winning Greenacre Park, which has beautiful waterfall, landscaped garden, seasonal outdoor cafe, and abundant seating areas. This neighborhood is vibrant, easily accessed, and has many new and noteworthy restaurants, shops, and services. Grocery stores including Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s are just a short walk away.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
