Property Description for 220 East 54th Street, 5-M

OFFER ACCEPTED
This charming and quiet apartment provides a refuge from the hectic pace of the city.
It is a straight studio which has French doors that separate the bedroom from the living room, making the space feel like a much larger apartment. The bedroom can easily hold a queen size bed, night tables, dresser, etc. while the living room can accommodate a dining table, couch entertainment unit and more.
There are two closets, one of which is extra-large and fitted out to make maximum use of the space. The wall of windows lets in southern light, the bath and kitchen ( which has a dishwasher) are updated, there are hardwood parquet floors, and the apartment has been newly painted.
The very low maintenance, 75% financing, and generous sublet policy combine to make this even more attractive.
The Leslie House is a full-service Coop near transportation, restaurants, and shopping. The building features a 24 hour doorman, planted roof terrace, storage, bike room, garage, central laundry and a live in super. There is currently an energy surcharge of $17.00
Pets, guarantors and co purchasing are not permitted but pied-a-terres are welcome.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
