The best of penthouse living in the world’s greatest city.

On the market for the first time in nearly 15 years, Penthouse 52A is the crown jewel of Midtown’s Turtle Bay neighborhood with almost 500 square feet of private outdoor space. Soaring high atop the iconic 100 United Nations condominium, this expansive one bedroom, one and one half bathroom residence is the only apartment on its floor and boasts 360 degree exposure to the north, south, east and west.

Accessed by a private elevator, 52A is the topmost penthouse culminating the pyramid structure of the building. Commanding unbeatable views of the East River and New York City skyline with two massive, wraparound terraces, 52A enjoys opulent sunrises and sunsets, and tremendous outlooks of Manhattan’s most coveted landmarks such as the Empire State, Chrysler Building, and One World Trade.

Upon entering the apartment, one is welcomed by a spacious living area saturated with natural sun and gleaming walls of windows, complemented by an open, eat-in kitchen with breakfast bar. Outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, this gourmet, windowed kitchen is replete with beautiful wood cabinetry, tile backsplash, and plentiful cooking surfaces. The generous living area also boasts a wet bar with wine storage, a large entry closet, and oversized powder room with stainless steel and stone finishes.

The bright master bath features a custom-made stall shower with four body sprays and an overhead ambient rain water-tile with mood enhancing colored lights, as well as a Jacuzzi tub, wide vanity and Kohler toilet, upgraded with built-in storage, and stone and marble finishes. Nearly the same size as the living room, the master bedroom is also equipped with an abundance of built-in storage space.

Additional qualities to enjoy in 52A include an advanced lighting system and built-in sounds system, making this penthouse the ultimate home for luxury living and entertaining.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
