Property Description for 337 East 50th Street, 2-E

Ideal for buyers who work from home! 2E is a stunning residence in the heart of Midtown East. Offering an open, serene, and spacious layout, this two bed, two bath apartment is very unique as a former studio and one bedroom were thoughtfully and legally combined to create this expansive and well done duplex. As you enter the apartment you are greeted with abundance of sunlight, a breakfast bar and open formal dining room. The upstairs bedroom accommodates a king-size bed and room to spare and offers a southern exposure letting in plenty of sunlight. A wide spiral staircase leads you down to the expansive private downstairs bedroom featuring an en-suite bathroom, a walk-in closet and two additional closets.

337 East 50th is a well-maintained coop with an elevator, super, and a central laundry room. Discretely located on a quiet residential street, this lovely building is surrounded by countless restaurants, supermarkets, and is in close proximity to Grand Central Station and the 6 train station on E 51st and Lexington.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
