Property Description for 351 East 51st Street, PH-7A

Located atop the prestigious Beekman Regent, Penthouse 7A is a sprawling corner 2 bedroom, 2.5 Bath with a split layout & impressive scale throughout!

As you enter the home, you're greeted in a proper entry foyer that leads into a living area with 10'9'' ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking river views. This space flows graciously into the large chefs kitchen which is newly renovated and features ample counter space, cabinetry & top-of-the-line Viking and Subzero appliances as well as a full size washer/dryer. The master bedroom suite is sprawling with a sitting area, 4 large California Closets, and a luxurious master bathroom with soaking tub, from where you can gaze at the East River. The second bedroom also has an en-suite bath and is easily the size of a master in a normal apartment. The generous proportions of the layout are inspired by the pre-war 'golden era' of building, and there are additional pre-war inspired details throughout that add to the charm and sophistication including wainscoting, herringbone wood floors, crown moldings and there is central AC/heat. Truly the perfect place to call home.

The Beekman Regent is often referred to as a cousin of "The Dakota". Although built in 2001, the exterior base of the building is original from 1893 and was built to resemble the same color and architecture of The Dakota, which has led to it being designated a NYC landmark. Residents exclusively benefit from a 24-hour doorman, full-time concierge, newly renovated gym with his-and-hers sauna, a business conference room and residents lounge. There is a garage accessible from within the building. For grocery shopping there is Whole Foods & Morton Williams nearby and a myriad of top rated restaurants including Deux Amis, Ethos, La Pecora Bianca & Smith and Wollensky, are all within walking distance! Central Park, Fifth & Madison Avenue shopping are all within 5-10 mins driving distance and the United Nations is steps away.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
