Property Description for 319 East 51st Street

The Townhouse at 319 E. 51st Street is sheer perfection. There is no other house of this size and quality in Manhattan today. As you travel through the house take your time to fully register the attention to detail, the quality of workmanship and the high level of design that make this property so unique.

Ground Floor
Every ounce of care and attention that went into this gut renovation is evident on this level of the house. Configured to facilitate grand, yet casual, entertaining - the ground floor seamlessly flows from the enormous Thermador equipped Chef's dream kitchen to the chic dining area which leads to the plush den comprehensively furnished for home entertainment. Just beyond the den, is the approx. 600 Sq. Ft. Japanese inspired garden --- the equilibrium between extreme luxury and Zen-like calm, which has been achieved, is a true testament to the amount of love and resources allocated to 319 East 51st. In a world of corner cutting and mediocrity this townhouse is an example of the finest craftsmanship available.

Parlor Floor
As you enter the house on the Parlor Floor, you are greeted by an expansive open space. The herringbone floors fit seamlessly with the custom millwork all around you. Quickly you are transported from the hectic city into the harmony of SONOS entertainment, a wet bar and soothing views out the back 18' wall of glass onto the Japanese inspired garden. The luxurious tone is set for what awaits...

Third Floor/Master Suite
Without exaggeration, to find the level of elegance and sophistication of the Master Floor you would need to check into an Aman or Oberoi resort. The enormous master bath is centered around the marble tub carved from a single stone, resting on a bed of hand-laid mosaic tiles. The bathroom is fully equipped with multi-jet (multi person) shower, double vanity with separate make-up station, radiant heated floors and three huge windows streaming natural light. The massive dressing room with nine closets has been built with the finest carpentry and hardware, and is enough storage for a dozen wardrobes. The peaceful and private bedroom is wrapped in Osborn & Little (London) pearl beaded wallpaper, wall-to-wall carpeting and a remote controlled gas fireplace ----- creating a posh and soothing sleeping chamber.

Fourth and Fifth Floors
The fourth floor is where you will find four more spacious bedrooms each with an en-suite full bath, individually done in a distinct style of equal taste. The bathrooms carry on the luxurious spa-like tone set in the master and the expansive walk-in closets in each of these bedrooms makes them quite versatile ? full time resident or short term guests ? will feel as if they are home. On the landing of the fourth floor in between the bedrooms is an office that any Fortune 100 CEO would covet, this richly textured retreat will inspire anyone. To top off the beauty of the fourth and fifth floors, a charming private terrace off the front facing fifth floor bedroom is a wonderful escape.

Roof Terrace
To completely disappear and get away from it all visit the roof terrace. Fully furnished to the same high standards as the rest of this extraordinary house, the roof terrace is an escape to enjoy the iconic NYC skyline view in private or with friends.

This Townhouse is breathtaking in photos but must be seen to fully appreciate its beauty and functionality.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
