Property Description for 255 East 49th Street, 3-F

What amazing space in this extra large alcove studio. An extremely spacious corner alcove studio spanning 613SF and facing west. If you are looking for an alcove studio large enough to potentially be a one bedroom, fit all your furniture and without the noise of living in New York City, look no further. Situated in the interior of the block and with tree line views there is one word that describes this home, peaceful. One of the quietest apartments I have ever been in. As you enter through the foyer there is a large double closet for coats, jackets and shoes. So no more walking directly into the apartment and messing up the floors. This floor plan is superb. Continuing on, you cannot miss the majestic tree-lined view through the windowed kitchen which also happens to be open to the living space so grab your bar stools, have a seat and enjoy that early morning cup of coffee or offer extra space for guests and relatives. There is more than enough room for a large kitchen table set, living room set and depending where you want to set your bed, you can fit a queen size or king size bed. Situated in the alcove are two floor-to-ceiling mirrored closets available due to the 9FT ceilings and finally the bathroom made of beautiful marble tile.Built in 1982 Sterling Plaza Condominium has 33 floors and 176 apartments. A majority of the apartments have large balconies facing in every direction. You can always easily spot Sterling Plaza by the white crown like rooftop. Two staff members always operate the lobby. One operates the concierge desk and the other greets you at the entrance. There is a separate service entrance as well. Dogs allowed for owners only. There is laundry in the basement with card-operated machines. Sterling Plaza has six lines in the building spanning from A - F. Sterling Plaza location is unique because it sits on the southwest corner of 49th street and 2nd avenue and hosts a communal tree-lined entrance providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
