Property Description for 145 East 48th Street, 17-B

For sale is a very unique and bright one bedroom home with a rare floorplan. Nearly 770SF, 17B offers 9' ceilings, three exposures, excellent southern light, a windowed kitchen, a windowed master bathroom, an extra half bath and an extra-large one bedroom. The bedroom is large enough for a king size bedroom set with plenty of space to spare. There are three exposures facing south, west and north and takes up the entire side of the building offering a double corner floorplan offering a wall of windows. Very unique. This is also a strong investment opportunity. The apartment has been renovated with stainless steel appliances throughout the kitchen along with marble counter tops and custom cabinetry. The Cosmopolitan Condominium is a Full-Service, Doorman Building that holds 207 apartments and was built in 1986 which features a 24 Hour Concierge, an underground 24 Hour Garage with elevator that leads directly onto the PH floor, Live-In Super, Roof Deck and one of the city's tastiest and most famous Greek Seafood Restaurants', Avra Estiatorio. One of the reasons for the Cosmopolitan's greatness among other residential buildings is the fact that the staffs' determination to ensure a safe and harmonious lifestyle for its residents is unequal and is extremely refreshing. Hands down one of the city's best staffed Condominiums.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
