Property Description for 309 East 49th Street, 8-D

Live in this quiet, serene, and beautifully renovated two-bed, two-bath, corner apartment on a fantastic tree-lined block in Midtown East. This sprawling, well-appointed unit has a bright, open, and airy layout great for entertaining or enjoying a quiet evening at home. Relax and enjoy city views from your private wrap-around terrace with room for a 4-top table and long bench, or look out onto the city from your double wall of windows! The kitchen has been renovated and is now completely open (which is a unique feature, vs. the original closed-off butlers kitchen layout prevalent in this line) and features stainless-steel appliances including a Bosch dishwasher, with granite counter tops, stone tile floor, and beautiful wood cabinets throughout. The open dining area gets great light and has plenty of room for a large table that seats 6-8. The spacious master bedroom easily fits a king-size bed plus sitting area and has an entire wall of California closets! The marble and stone en-suite master bath is renovated with Kohler fixtures and heated towel bar! The second bedroom comfortably fits a queen-sized bed plus desk with easy-access to another California closet. The second bath is finished in stone and granite with Kohler fixtures as well. The unit comes with a full-size washer and dryer, which is vented to the outside. In addition, there are two large closets in the hallway giving you more storage. The apartment also comes with its very own private, lockable storage space in the basement at no extra cost! All this can be yours in this pet friendly, full service, condo building, with a 24-hour doorman and concierge. It is located in a fantastic area complete with new fine dining, nightlife, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, the 4/5/6/E trains and a parking garage next door! Ideal for primary residents, pied-e-terre and investors alike. Call now for a private appointment! There is a temporary assessment of $238.33/month for this unit, ending December.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
