Property Description for 319 East 50th Street, 8-G

This is not to be missed. You will be amazed at the natural light and space in this apartment. The pictures do not do this justice. Just bring your things and make this your home when you move in.

Rarely would you find windows in every room in a one-bedroom apartment. Light comes in from three exposures. You can create an office, a den, or another real bedroom inside the very large bedroom. The renovations the seller did give this apartment a peaceful and serene feel. All the walls were skim-coated. Bathroom is updated with grey and white tiles. The floors were sanded and left in a natural color. Pre-war details such as beamed ceiling and arched door frame, typical of this building, are impeccably preserved in this home. Glass doorknobs with brass rims can be found on all bedroom doors. Little things like this make this apartment special.

Open galley kitchen is fitted with warm wood-paneled cabinets in a mahogany color and fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and slate colored countertop. The floors are charcoal grey which contrasts beautifully with the wood. There is an alcove across from the kitchen that can easily accommodate a dining table or a banquette table. The living room is almost a square, offering many viable options to set it up. The great part about this apartment is that you walk through a hallway, being invited in by two windows that open to a gorgeous sky and great views. There is very large storage and great wall space for art and other things. Then there is another hallway that separates the living room from the bedroom and gives you private entrance into the bathroom. Moving from one area to another inside the apartment, the light follows you.

What are you waiting for? At this price, you've hit the jackpot.

This beautiful, pet-friendly building allows pied-a-terres, parents buying for children, and has a live-in super. There is a 24-hour doorman/elevator operator. Additional storage is available for a fee. A bike storage at no cost to residents.

This PRIME location, between 1st and 2nd Ave offers the best access to public transportation, eateries, businesses. NEED 24 HOUR NOTICE FOR APPOINTMENTS.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
