Property Description for 3015 Riverdale Ave, 5-G

This is not your typical studio. It is grand. This residence is large open and sunny. It is located in a 1940's building. It has been stylishly renovated while maintaining the original prewar details, high ceilings, set back shelf, arches, floor to ceiling closets and foyer.

The windowed kitchen is white with new white appliances and cabinets. This lovely modern apartment has new flooring. The separate sitting area/office has a set back shelf. The living area is unlike any other studio. It is spacious and accommodates a full queen size bed and a sofa and entertainment section.

The windowed bathroom has mahogany wood vanity and state-of-the art utilities. There is an adjacent dressing room with a floor to ceiling closet.

The setback elevator building has lovely seasonal flowers such as roses on trellises in the front during the summer. The entry path has hand laid Italian stones and flora and greenery with a Zen fountain in the back.

This is a 40's prewar building. The lobby entrance is relatively new. It has an intercom, art deco lobby with a staircase that goes to the six floor, laundry, individual storage, service entrance and a live-in-super and porter/handyman. Sorry no dogs allowed but cats are welcome.

There is a well known park next door. You are centrally located and can walk to the #1 subway, the jitney to the Metro North, bus stops for the MTA local and express buses, parks, Riverdale, Johnson Avenue and Broadway shopping streets, Starbucks, trendy, ethnic and fast food restaurants, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, fresh vegetables etc. Walk to Manhattan College, Riverdale Tennis, various gyms, Charter school, J.F.Kennedy H.S.. Riverdale | Bronx

Quick Profile

Searching for a little bit of country that can be your home base, while still being able to take advantage of everything that NYC offers? Do you want a slower pace of living, focused on family and the great outdoors? Riverdale may be your perfect choice. Only about ten miles north of Midtown, Riverdale’s bucolic paradise feels like you have left the city entirely. You would never guess that you are still within the confines of the Bronx.

Riverdale is primarily residential with a substantial number of single-family homes and corridors of high-rise apartments. There are many large parks, and they play a major role in the lives of the residents, as they are a primary source of entertainment. Clean, safe streets make Riverdale a great place to walk or cycle. There are trees everywhere, and the air is fresh and invigorating. It is a great place to raise a family, but more and more singles and young professionals are moving into Riverdale, in search of larger, less expensive apartments, and to enjoy the parks and the remarkable views of the Hudson River and Manhattan.

While the grid layout of the rest of the city makes it easy to find your way from here to there, Riverdale chose to forego that structure, choosing instead to let the verdant streets twist and wind their way around natural obstacles in designs by Frederick Law Olmsted, of Central Park fame. Some streets are divided, with traffic in one direction being at an entirely different level than traffic headed the opposite way on the same street. This quirkiness adds a certain charm to this neighborhood.
