Property Description for 319 East 50th Street, 2-C

This versatile and charming pre-war apartment is not your typical cookie-cutter studio! Its unique layout was envisioned to combine privacy and entertainment, two sought-after qualities rarely achievable together. Let a spacious arched foyer welcome you, and enjoy the warmth and brilliance of southern light through three gracious windows. The kitchen has been strategically located across the ample living area, creating a unique entertainment space separate from the windowed sleeping area where a king size bed fits comfortably. Looking for amazing closet space? You can enjoy plenty of it in this apartment, as well as a bonus oversized alcove walk-in closet that can even be repurposed as a windowed home office. The bathroom has been nicely renovated, yet maintains its original appeal.

Beekman Hill, with its charming Tudor inspired pre-war lobby, is located on a secure and quiet tree-lined street. It provides central laundry, storage bins and bike storage. There is a full-time doorman/elevator operator and a live-in resident manager. 319 East 50th is a non-smoking building. There is currently a $115.83 assessment for Local Law 11.

Pets are welcome, pied-a-terre ownership is allowed, as is co-purchasing and parents buying for children. This apartment will not last! Call me today for a private showing.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
