Property Description for 345 East 50th Street, 5-B

Apartment # 5B is a very spacious one bedroom duplex. It has its own distinctive character and all the modern amenities to fashion a special home. Enjoy two large balconies, high ceilings and an extra large master suite. Walk in and draw your eyes to the grey-flannel schist stone countertops, glass-tile backsplash and white-oak cabinets of the large chef's kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances. The kitchen also features a wine cooler and a combination microwave and toaster. Beyond the kitchen there is a dining area and a large glass door leading to the balcony that overlooks the private gardens. Adjacent to the kitchen is the half bath with fine marble tile details. The large living room overlooks the garden through oversized windows. The master suite has a breezy L-shaped layout with a wing that would work well as an office, sitting area or home gym. It also boasts a HUGE private balcony and a window facing the gardens. The spa-like master bathroom features unique Jacuzzi tubs and Temazcal / Chromatherapy shower stalls designed to reduce stress and refresh as well as radiant heat-tiled floors. The large combination washer/dryer and a walk-in closet are conveniently situated adjacent to the master bath.

Sutton Place and Beekman Place are two of the city's most sought-after residential addresses. These small enclaves along the East River in midtown have some of the finest buildings in New York. They have a gracious ambiance that is elegant but not too formal, impressive but not too overwhelming. The neighborhoods are refined, comfortable, cozy, and redolent with a sense of peacefulness, respect for the environment, and caring for sane values of good-neighborliness, a very special area in the middle of the city.

Located just east of Midtown, in the highly desirable Beekman neighborhood, 343 East 50th Street is on a tree-lined block within close proximity to the East River, the United Nations, and Grand Central Station. Excellent shopping, dining, and transportation are all nearby. M at Beekman offers the best of both worlds-located in a quiet and serene neighborhood yet within close proximity to all the amenities and excitement of Midtown Manhattan.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
