Property Description for 303 East 43rd Street, 18-A

This stunning, crisp, contemporary and smart, newly-renovated two bedroom, two bathroom corner apartment is the ultimate New York home or pied-a-terre. Flooded with brilliant light from four exposures with iconic city and river views from large floor to ceiling windows south, east, west and north, with over 9-foot ceilings, this majestic home offers the best of midtown Manhattan right at your doorstep.

Danish hardwood smoked oak flooring, a state-of-the-art home control system, 3-zone central HVAC system with individual Nest thermostat control, motorized blinds, in-wall and in-ceiling speakers in all rooms including both bathrooms, centralized audio/video and high-end designer LED smart lighting throughout are but a handful of the many magical details that make this the ideal home.

Entertaining is a pleasure with an open layout that offers an open kitchen, dining, and living area with south, east and west views of New York's iconic cityscape, including the Chrysler Building and United Nations close enough to touch, as well as the East River between the classic Tudor masterpieces of Tudor City. The European chef's kitchen features ultra high-end Italian cabinets by Scavolini, Neolith sintered porcelain counters and back-splash, top appliances by SubZero and Miele and an under-counter full size dual-zone wine cooler by Liebherr. Cook to your heart's content as heat and odors vent completely outside through the integrated under-cabinet Falmac hood with remote control.

The apartment's split-bedroom layout features a large master bedroom suite with oversized windows boasting dazzling light and open city views and is outfitted with a wall of custom closets and integrated desk made from Shinoki Japanese Oak by TransFORM. You will sleep well as the master bedroom features both solar as well as blackout blinds for complete room darkening. A luxurious en-suite master bath completes this sanctuary. The master bath is extremely well appointed with dual-sinks, massive walk-in spa-like shower with curbless KRION shower pan. Shower yourself from every angle with the powerful wall and ceiling mounted fixtures. The mast bath also features a toilet with integrated electronic, heated bidet wash. All fixtures are German made Duravit and Hans Grohe featuring designs by Axor Starck. Top of the line large-format porcelain tiles throughout by Porcelanosa, with Nuheat Signature heated floor.

At the end of the hallway, the very large second bedroom features north and east city and river views with its own adjacent bathroom also with multiple shower fixtures, including rain shower head and classically modern finishes and fixtures from Duravit and Hans Grohe, large-format porcelain tiles by Porcelanosa and heated floor.

This home has it all for the sophisticated New York City buyer who wants the comforts and grace of a modern apartment in a full service condominium in the heart of Midtown East with only three apartments per floor for discreet enjoyment. The A-line apartments are the only units on the south side of the building for even more privacy.

The International Plaza is a luxury condominium perfectly located in Midtown Manhattan in the heart of it all, moments from, Grand Central, Tudor City Park and the United Nations to the east. It consists of 79 units over 28 stories with its own green space and is set back from the street with a plaza.

International Plaza is located near major transportation, including airport shuttles, subways, MTA buses and a CitiBike port immediately outside the building across the street in front of the famous, architecturally important Ford Foundation Headquarters.

International Plaza is a full service building with 24-hour doorman, daytime concierge, live-in resident manager, newly renovated laundry room, complimentary common storage and bike room. Washer/dryers are not permitted in unit and pied-a-terre's, investors and foreign buyers are most welcome.

There is currently an assessment in place which will be used to renovate the common areas, including the hallways, which the seller has already paid for in full.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
