Not one detail was overlooked during this thoughtful and meticulous renovation. As you enter the home you are welcomed by distressed pine floors and 9.5 ft raw skim-coated concrete ceilings throughout giving the unit a sleek and modern downtown loft feel. The open and expansive living room faces south and west, is coupled with sliding glass walls surrounding the apartment creating a stunning indoor/outdoor experience.

The kitchen is state of the art and comes equipped with Bosch, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. Additionally there is a concealed LG washer/dryer (gas powered and externally vented), plus 167-bottle wine refrigerator.  Just off the kitchen the dining room experience is enhanced by additional sliding glass walls amplifying the indoor/outdoor atmosphere which is complimented by mosaic built-ins and breathtaking views of the Chrysler Building.

Serenely secluded, the master suite comes outfitted with ample custom closet space that is coupled with shadow molding lending to the elegant modern touch. The ensuite spa-like master bath is distinguished by white Thasos marble, with a private skylight that has a retractable shade bringing natural sunlight into the space at the push of a button. To top it off there is a massive floor-to-ceiling glass shower with Has Grohe fixtures.

Just off the living room you will find the second bedroom that comes with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that allows for seamless reconfiguration of the space if desired. The room also comes with thoughtfully designed floor-to-ceiling closets, drawers, and a desk that can be concealed when not in use. The second elegantly designed bathroom comes with resin countertops and a honed glass panel shower.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
