Property Description for 200 East 57th Street, 18-K

Residence 18K is an absolutely mint, sprawling and inviting 2 bedroom / 2.5 bathroom home with expansive and gracious layout and a south-facing terrace.

No stone unturned, no detail overlooked. The kind of home where everyone can have their own space and there is a designated place to live, play and work from home - whether we're still socially distancing or not.

Fully equipped windowed kitchen is overflowing with custom cabinetry, pantry, top of the line Viking stove, Subzero refrigerator, Miele dishwasher and a stackable Bosch washer & dryer. At the present configuration, the kitchen has an open layout with both counter seating and an entry to a large formal dining room. A sunny master bedroom looks onto a private terrace and is complete with a bright and windowed en-suite bath. There is a built-in office space off the master bedroom. The 2nd bedroom also comes with an en-suite bath. There is an additional powder room next to the foyer. There are multiple custom built-in storage units, walk-in closets and a cedar closet. Maintenance includes all utilities, high speed internet and basic cable. An alternative floorplan showing a 3 bedroom configuration is available upon request.

200 East 57th Street is a centrally located, full-service, established coop with a live-in resident manager, full-time doorman, landscaped courtyard & roof deck, gym and garage. Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
