Property Description for 245 East 54th Street, 10-J

NYC Pied-a-Terre oasis! This remarkably bright studio boasts a high quality bright and open kitchen that does not intrude into the living space but enhances it. The open pass through counter brings natural light into the kitchen and allows for easy entertaining with a modern but classic design and space saving storage, separate under-counter refrigerator, freezer and compact dishwasher; all with matching European quality cabinetry.

The clever design esthetic continues into the main room with a brushed velvet banquette that can be utilized to create great dinner parties, or tea for 2. The wall of built in cabinetry conceals storage shelves and a full-size Murphy Bed. Matching the banquette, a full-size sofa bed pulls the room together with the neutral window shades framing the new large windows that bring in all the eastern light. There is also matching built in storage under the windows.

The Brevard is a full-service Cooperative at the intersection of Midtown East and Sutton Place, convenient to museums, shopping, restaurants and transportation. With Parking in the building, the Brevard is near both the 59th Street Bridge and the Midtown Tunnel as well as the FDR. With Pied a Terre's allowed, 10J is a perfect calming oasis to wind down from work or gear up for a weekend in the city.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
