Property Description for 200 East 57th Street, 8-B

Come discover your next home that invites you in with truly abundant space and light. This rarely available, airy corner home, provides 3 bedrooms (easily convertible 4 bedrooms plus a formal dining room), 3 full baths, and FIVE walk-in closets. Distinct foyer, Formal dining area, and living room make this apartment a true stand out for the tasteful homeowner who is looking for a real home in Gotham’s Sutton Place. A corner unit of the eighth floor offers you excellent city views. The separate entryway tantalizes you with the amazing space that lies ahead, highlighted by the newly renovated hardwood floors throughout. The three bedrooms (easily converted to four) create a living space that is ideal for a growing family but also give the freedom to create a home office or home theatre and room for entertaining guests. In addition to abundant storage in the massive walk-in closets, you could easily convert one into a wine cellar, library, or any number of imaginative uses. Convenient washer/dryer and dishwasher add to the allure. Tiled full baths are elegant and maintain the uncommon spaciousness of the home. The entire floor plan is airy, light, and inviting—and bonus storage in the basement allows you to safely keep seasonal and other items stowed until you need them. Ideally situated, this co-op has doorman, elevator, and is mere steps away from Bloomingdales, Rockefeller Center and the world class shopping found on Fifth and Madison Avenues. Enjoy the rooftop deck for outdoor fun or work away the stress in the well-equipped fitness center—both of which offer free Wi-Fi. A beautiful viewing garden adjacent to the newly renovated lobby provides a Zen oasis from the City’s vibrant pace.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
