Property Description for 240 East 47th Street, 29-B

**Seller will cover the $12,332 assessment for the upgrades to the pool, gym and other common spaces!

Enjoy a beautiful view of the iconic Chrysler Building in your gorgeously renovated, turn-key ready 29th-floor home. Boasting 1,183 square feet, with not one inch wasted, it is unlike any other "B" line in the Dag Hammarskjold Tower, currently configured as a 2 bed with home office & 1.5 baths.

As you enter, you're greeted by a large open foyer, big enough to keep a pair of bicycles. There is a large coat closet and an easily expandable half bath right off the foyer. Off the living room is a laundry closet with a Meile washer/dryer. The home has been detailed with light strip oak flooring and crown molding throughout. Windows have been upgraded by Skyline Windows. The living room boasts enough space for virtually any seating setup. Perfect dining area to enjoy your southern view of the Chrysler Building. Kitchen has been reconfigured, redesigned, gutted and updated with Bosch convection oven, dishwasher and microwave, and full-size Sub-Zero refrigerator. You won't be finding yourself wanting for counter space or storage. A small home office off the living room leads to your private balcony, with north/south views. Perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or a pleasant NYC evening.

Off the foyer, a hallway with 2 large closets leads to the master bath and both bedrooms. Welcome the morning with north & eastern views. The master bedroom has a generous California Closets-designed walk-in closet, and easily fits a king-size bed and extra furniture. Second bedroom is almost as big as the master and boasts one large and one small closet.

The Dag Hammarskjold Building is a white-glove luxury skyscraper steps from the UN and the East River. Amenities include welcoming lobby, 24-hour doorman and concierge, fully-equipped fitness center, sauna/steam room, indoor heated pool w/ 360-degree views, 43rd floor sunbathing deck, residence lounge with ping pong table, and children's playroom. 24-hour parking below the building and storage bins in the basement are available for a fee. There is a weekly greenmarket across the street in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
