Property Description for 240 East 47th Street, 25-B

Masses of closet space, exceptional natural light, and a private outdoor balcony are just three of the many ingredients that make this spacious 2-bedroom 2-bath apartment so desirable. Located on a quiet block near the epicenter of Manhattan, in a white-glove building with comprehensive amenities, this Midtown East gem allows you to live both centrally and peacefully - a difficult combination to come by in NYC!

The first thing to notice as you enter this 1,183 square foot home is the large closet in the foyer, perfectly suited for coat and shoe storage, and setting the tone for the plentiful amount of storage space to come. Near the entrance, you will find the first of two full bathrooms, featuring beautiful marble tiling and a glass shower. The hardwood flooring and natural light spilling from the living room draw you further in, and you round the corner to enter into the heart of the apartment. To the left is the perfectly equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher and a multitude of white cabinetry. The abundance of counter space ensures ease and convenience when preparing every meal. Beyond the kitchen you will find the secondary bedroom, boasting an enviable row of soaring windows and a large closet. The enormous primary bedroom sits on the other side of the living room, allowing for a comfortable separation between the two bedrooms. Featuring an en suite bathroom with a double vanity and tub, as well as an enormous walk-in closet, the luxurious main bedroom feels like its own separate studio apartment. A washer/dryer tucked near the main bedroom adds to the apartment’s desirability. Make your way back out into the expansive living and dining area, and bask in the natural light pooling in from the large NE and NW windows. Start and end your day peacefully by enjoying your morning coffee or evening cocktail on your own private outdoor balcony, located just off the living room.

The Dag Hammarskjold Tower is a full-service, white-glove building located just blocks from both Grand Central Station and the East River, and surrounded by a sea of excellent Midtown East restaurants and shops. The building hosts a full-time doorman, concierge, a roof deck, swimming pool, health club with sauna/steam rooms, and plenty of storage options.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
