Designed by Pritzker Prize winning architects Foster + Partners, this one-of-a-kind Duplex Penthouse combines over 9,700 square feet of interior living space with two extraordinary outdoor spaces; one a large terrace ideally situated off the main living area, the other a 30+ foot outdoor swimming pool and ipe wood pool deck which link the primary bedroom lounge and a large entertainment room featuring a gas fireplace and separate catering kitchen.

A two-story glass wall provides a cinematic backdrop of the Manhattan skyline for the stainless steel floating staircase joining the 42nd and 43rd floors. A private interior elevator is also provided. In addition to the primary bedroom suite, which occupies half of the 43rd floor, there are three additional primary bedrooms, two staff rooms and seven and a half baths. The large windowed kitchen is appointed with the finest appliances and is suitable for large scale entertaining.

50 United Nations Plaza is accessible via gated entry which opens onto a sweeping motor court landscaped by M. Paul Friedberg and Partners, and provides an extraordinary level of privacy, security and beauty. The full-time staff of doormen, concierge and a Resident Manager stand ready to assist while valets park vehicles underground. The black marble-clad health and fitness center, managed by The Wright Fit, features a 75-foot swimming pool, state-of-the-art gym and exclusive spa, sauna and steam rooms. A conference room and children's playroom are also on-site. On-site parking and storage are included. Some images are digitally staged.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
