Property Description for 100 United Nations Plaza, 7-B

Custom designed and renovated from top to bottom, this corner 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom with wrap balcony is available for rent at 100 United Nations Plaza, one of Midtown East's premiere white-glove condominiums.

Upon entering unit 7B at 100 United Nations Plaza you will pass through a welcoming foyer that leads to the spacious corner living and dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors that open out to the private wrap-around balcony. Whether entertaining guests or having a quiet night in, enjoy picturesque views to the East River and overlooking the UN Gift Garden, as well as the city skyline to the south. A wall of custom built-ins allows for additional storage and closet space.

The adjacent windowed kitchen has been beautifully renovated and boasts sleek, high-gloss cabinetry in cool, dark grey that is offset by light granite counters and backsplash. A double bowl sink, a suite of high-end appliances from Viking, Bosch and Liebherr and ample storage space round out this striking kitchen.

The south-facing primary bedroom suite boasts two large walk-in closets, a wall of built-in storage and custom headboard and platform bed. The en suite bathroom has been elegantly finished with floor-to-ceiling marble walls, marble-topped waterfall edge vanity, graphic floor tile and an extra-large glass-enclosed shower with two showerheads.

The second bedroom, found on the opposite side of the apartment from the primary suite, has an eastern exposure and is wall-to-wall custom - from the queen-size Murphy bed to the copious amounts of built-in storage to the built-in desk. In addition, there is a walk-in closet and a full, en suite bathroom finished with lustrous white wall tile, marble floors and deep-soaking bathtub with glass door.

Measuring approximately 1,337 of interior square feet, this polished home also features wide-plank hardwood floors throughout, custom built-out closets, an abundance of storage space, in-unit Bosch washer and dryer, central heat and A/C, renovated powder room and wood-tiled balcony flooring.

Located on East 48th Street and First Avenue, 100 United Nations Plaza is a white-glove, full service condominium in Manhattan's Turtle Bay neighborhood. Greeting residents with beautifully landscaped gardens and waterfalls, this impeccably run building offers a 24-hour doorman, valet and concierge service, on-site management office, renovated lobby and residents lounge, common laundry room, fitness center and direct access to an attended parking garage. Conveniently located to transportation and many great shops and restaurants. Condominium application required.

Showing by appointment only.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
