Property Description for 55 Park Terrace East, B-32

RENOVATED TO PERFECTION Seldom do you find a home that is so tastefully renovated AND well priced. This beautifully done 2 bedroom essentially needs nothing. No expensive renovation costs here; simply paint, unpack and start making memories. Perfectly situated to capture pretty morning light and leafy views when Spring arrives, this home is a welcoming, quiet retreat from the bustle of the city. The nearly 40 ft expanse from entry to windows makes creating separate areas for dining, office and comfortable conversation refreshingly easy. And if you love to cook, this kitchen will inspire! Thoughtfully designed to maximize every bit of space, this is a great kitchen for the chef AND sous chef to work in harmony. Functional and timelessly renovated with Caesarstone quartz counters and classic subway tile back splash, stainless appliances, Italian ceramic tile floors and white shaker-style cabinetry with self-close drawers and pretty glass-front uppers peppered throughout. The gut-renovated bathroom boasts a cast iron Kohler soaking tub with subway tile surround, sleek vanity and sink with Grohe faucet, new medicine cabinet and lighting all anchored by hexagonal ceramic tile floors. The generous primary bedroom enjoys double exposure and pretty, leafy views as does the secondary bedroom. Throughout are pristine hardwood herringbone floors in a warm walnut stain, high beamed ceilings, sunken living room and all new lighting. Inwood’s Park Terrace section is like nowhere else in Manhattan; this home epitomizes the understated elegance and calm that attracts so many New Yorkers to this charming neighborhood. Quietly situated in the sought-after Park Terrace Gardens, a top-notch pet-friendly Co-op comprised of 5 buildings surrounding lushly landscaped private gardens. Residents also enjoy common roof decks with barbecue, on-site management, a live-in super, laundry, concierge, bike storage (wait list), FREE upgraded high-speed Internet access, is over 80% owner occupied and has very strong financials. Near the A express and 1 local trains, the Metro-North Hudson Line, shopping, restaurants, wine bars and glorious Inwood Hill Park which is home to the beautiful Muscota Marsh, an extensive wetland restoration that reintroduces salt marsh and freshwater zones containing a diverse palette of native plants. This lush park also offers hiking trails, running paths, ball fields, dog runs, kayaking and plenty of green space for picnics, relaxing, enjoying free outdoor summer concerts or evening yoga. Nearby Isham Park is home to a Saturday Green Market as well. Residents of the community have access to Columbia University's Lawrence A. Wien Stadium track and can purchase memberships at The Dick Savitt Tennis Center without sponsorship by current members. HOME should be a sanctuary; a peaceful retreat that is yours alone, full of beauty and privacy. In NYC that is often hard to find, but this gem checks all the boxes.

Inwood | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Inwood isn’t at all like those trendy acronymed neighborhoods further downtown and it doesn’t quite have a notable claim to fame but there is something especially charming about this predominantly Dominican neighborhood. It’s family-oriented with mom and pop shops, hookah bars, sports facilities, recreational venues and ethhnic eateries.

Inwood is the northernmost neighborhood of Manhattan. Any further north and you’ll be in the Bronx. It’s bounded by The Harlem River, which snakes around to its east and north side, The Hudson River and Inwood Hill Park to the west, and Fort George, an enclave of Washington Heights, to the south.

Rivers, hills and green spaces surround the neighborhood and the building height restrictions give it a suburban feel even though it's still part of the borough of Manhattan. Inwood, it’s the best of both worlds.
