Property Description for 200 East 57th Street, 3-L

Situated in prestigious Sutton Place on Manhattan's East Side, this sun-filled 3-bedroom, 2-bath co-op faces south and west - providing views of Midtown's iconic skyscrapers. Spanning 1,500 square feet, the residence boasts a grand main living area - with dining alcove - and oversized bedrooms. In addition, there are 7 walk-in closets, many with custom shelving. Among the home's thoughtful features are dramatic cove lighting in the living room, hardwood floors throughout, insulated windows, and blackout blinds (motorized in the living room and primary bedroom). The windowed kitchen is outfitted with granite countertops, ceramic tile flooring, and a full set of stainless steel appliances, complete with a quiet Bosch dishwasher. Installed just 2 years ago, the Samsung washer and dryer offer the ease of in-unit laundry facilities. Further recent upgrades include new vanities in both bathrooms and an updated electrical panel. ALL UTILITIES and basic cable are incorporated in the monthly maintenance. Building amenities consist of a residents' roof deck, newly renovated lobby and an on-site garage, both with direct elevator access. A modern fitness center and storage bins are available in this full-service doorman/concierge building as well. With a convenient location near a wide variety of famous restaurants, workplaces, and Whole Foods - the apartment also provides plenty of space to work from home, giving the lucky new buyer the best of both worlds. The 4/5/6 & N/Q/R/W trains are all just a few blocks away, putting the entire city within easy reach.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
