DOWNTOWN VIBE IN TURTLE BAY!

Welcome to Apartment 15L at Turtle Bay Towers. With over-sized windows in the living room and bedroom, this east-facing, water view beauty has tremendous natural light all day long! A bonus to this view is the creation of a real brick wall complimenting the 1929 vintage of the building. The living room and dining room combined is over 33 in length making the apartment feel very light and airy. Combined with the nearly 12 beamed ceiling, you found your loft-like, downtown home uptown!

Enter the home and the warmth hits you immediately. There are custom built-in bookshelves, custom closets, and tremendous storage throughout. The kitchen features granite countertops and a glass tiled backsplash. The recently renovated, double-sink bathroom has gorgeous Italian Calacatta Marble tiles, a built-in linen closet, an oversize walk-in shower, and modern lighting fixtures.

The building amenities include 24-hour doorman, live-in super, laundry on floors 3 through 18 (inclusive), a brand-new roof deck, bike room and storage lockers for rent. This relaxed Condop has unlimited subletting upon ownership and simple board process. Turtle Bay Towers is pet friendly (max 40lb dogs), allows Pied-a-Terre and is investor friendly. There is a parking garage adjacent to the lobby. Turtle Bay is Cable TV ready with high-speed internet options. Close to public transportation, great restaurants and one block from the Dag Hammarskjold Plaza Greenmarket and the United Nations. Apartment 15L is a great opportunity for one lucky buyer!

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
