Property Description for 845 United Nations Plaza, 64-E

New Price Opportunity: The 845 United Nations Plaza, AKA, Trump World Tower is a residential condominium at the heart of Midtown East Manhattan, located on First Avenue between 47th & 48th Streets by the United Nations Headquarters, and along the East River. This iconic condominium is one of the many architectural legacies from the late prominent architect Costas Kondylis. This masterfully rectangular design measures 77 by 177 feet or 23 × 44 meters, with a slenderness ratio of 11:1 located along the East River, and right across the UN Headquarters. The building was constructed with concrete to increase its wind resistance. When comparing price per foot basis, please note this building is unlike most condominiums around the city. The structure was designed to have a Tuned Mass Damper, TMD, or Harmonic Absorber/Seismic Damper, which only 9 other buildings have in NYC. Not all square footage is created equal. The curtain wall facade was built with dark tinted glass, and stands proudly at the heart of Midtown, overlooking the Empire State and The Chrysler buildings. The building amenities were carefully selected to feature a full service Health Club with the latest fitness, and training equipment, Peloton bikes, Gym Mirror, Yoga and Pilates room, as well as steam and sauna rooms, spa services, among many others. The Health Club also offers a dedicated management keeping the club current, and ready for your training sessions. There is also a garden with a water feature, comfortable sitting, and tables for al fresco dining or simply to relax and read under the trees. Valet parking, storage, and wine cellar are also available for an additional cost. Each apartment, from the small studios to the grand three or more bedroom homes, up to the luxurious penthouses, offers unique layouts with floor to ceiling glass curtain walls designed to frame the vistas, incorporating the city’s panoramic views into each home. This condo community offers onsite caring and professional management supported by a friendly staff. This condo community offers five-star-like service amenities with a residential touch.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
