Property Description for 100 United Nations Plaza, 15-D

Residence 15D is a completely gut-renovated, triple mint condition 1 bedroom, 1 bath at 100 United Nations Plaza, one of Midtown East's premier white-glove condominium buildings.

This stunning, sun-filled apartment is truly one of a kind. The layout was intentionally redesigned and renovated for maximum efficiency and is paired with high-end, tastefully appointed finishes and fixtures to convey a modern elegance throughout.

Featuring wide-plank European oak floors in Mink Grey throughout the entire residence, the spacious living and dining room has floor-to-ceiling windows framing the southern skyline views which include the iconic Chrysler Building and 9-feet high ceilings.

Unique to this home, the living and dining room has been opened up utilizing sliding pocket doors to the expansive bedroom to provide streaming sunlight throughout while allowing for maximum flexibility and privacy when needed.

Doubled in size, the kitchen has been opened up with the creation of a second entry for easy flow and functionality. Features include Miele appliances, including a wine refrigerator, Faber vent, granite countertops, and white lacquer cabinetry.

The renovated bathroom boasts an oversized shower stall, large format tiled walls, heated flooring, a modern vanity and Toto toilet. The addition of pocket doors off the bedroom and in the hallway have created a dressing area with a fully-outfitted California Closet.

From the balcony, enjoy East River views that include the skyline of Long Island City and the landmarked neon Pepsi sign and enjoy the sunsets west towards the Hudson River.

Located on East 48th Street and First Avenue, 100 United Nations Plaza is an impeccably run condominium with a 24-hour doorman, valet and concierge service, renovated lobby and residents lounge, on-site management office, beautifully landscaped gardens with waterfalls, central laundry, fitness center and attached, attended parking garage. Conveniently located to transportation and many great restaurants and shops.

Seller will pay the full amount of this unit's assessment for the FISP (Local Law 11) facade and balcony project.

Condominium application required. Shown by private appointment only. Co-Exclusive with Brown Harris Stevens.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
