Property Description for 244 East 53rd Street, 2

Up for rent is a Palatial 5 Bed/3 Bath Duplex Penthouse with a Massive Private Roof Deck!

With 25 foot ceilings and an oversized skylight drenching the living room in natural light, prepare to be wowed from the minute you step into the apartment. This building was gut renovated in 2019 and no expense was spared. The unique design is modern and chic with quality finishes, fixtures, and hardwood floors. The unit also has virtual doorman. There has only been two tenants since the renovation and the place has been extremely well taken care of.

The bedrooms can each accommodate queen size beds and accompanying bedroom furniture. Some are also large enough to fit an office set up. They each get terrific natural light. The master bedroom also features an en suite bathroom.

The living room is large enough for a couch, coffee table, and an entertainment console. There is also room for a table and chairs or additional seating.

The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, stone countertops, and white oak cabinets with dark bronze pulls. There is a breakfast bar large enough to accommodate five stools.

Each spa-like bathroom is finished with unique, textured tiles, Toto fixtures, quality cabinets, and sleek finishes.

The private roofdeck is truly nothing short of spectacular. With South, West and North views, this outdoor space is awe-inspiring. The possibilities for the use of this additional space are nearly endless. Come see for yourself and let your imagination run wild.

Worth mentioning is the in-unit laundry room and the incredible amount of closet space throughout the apartment. Storage space will be a non-issue.

The apartment is located near all the best dining and nightlife that Midtown East has to offer, as well as Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, which are just a few blocks away. You're also close to Bloomingdale's and other popular 59th St area shopping. Being one block from the E and M trains and a couple blocks from the 6 train, makes commuting a breeze. It is also central to many major office buildings in Midtown, as well as the UN, making for a pleasant walk or a quick cab to work.

It is the high season for large apartment hunting, so don't miss out on the opportunity to make this truly spectacular Manhattan home yours. Email, text, or call for an exclusive showing. This apartment is occupied and showings are by appointment only.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
