Property Description for 223 East 50th Street, 2-D

Newly Renovated One Bedroom In Flexible Turtle Bay Co-op!

Move right in to this pre-war true one bedroom home with newly renovated kitchen and bathroom located on a prime block. This interior facing unit is pin drop quiet in a boutique co-op building that offers an elevator, common laundry, and live-in super.

The modern kitchen (plus new dishwasher!) gives an open, inviting feel between the kitchen and living space; ready for entertaining. The living space can fit a large sectional, end tables, dining and more.
The bedroom mixes both modern and pre- war character, with the white painted exposed brick walls. The bedroom is large enough for a king sized bed. There is ample closet space including custom built in closets.

The renovated windowed bathroom, complete with grey and white porcelain tile walls and chic matching hexagon floors, brand new vanity, lighting, and fixtures, round out this great space.

223 East 50th Street is an intimate elevator co-op featuring an extraordinarily convenient location offering all the conveniences of Midtown Manhattan including excellent transportation options (6, E & M trains), restaurants, bars, and shopping, but on a grounded tree-lined residential block. There is convenient key fob entry intercom system with video accessible from your smart phone.

This co-op has a uniquely friendly purchasing policy on a range of scenarios such as co-purchasing, parents buying, and pied-a-terres. Shareholders can rent unlimitedly with board approval, after just two years of ownership. The co-op is impeccably run and has excellent financials.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
