Property Description for 50 United Nations Plaza, 34-A

Ultra-Rare, Never-Lived-In 3-Bedroom with 14' Ceilings, Flexible Layout & Deeded Parking spaces. Offered for the first time ever, Residence 34A is a one-of-a-kind, ultra-luxury home perched high above Manhattan in the iconic 50 United Nations Plaza. This never-lived-in 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom corner residence features soaring 14-foot ceilings, panoramic skyline vistas, and direct, breathtaking views of the East River from every room—an exceptionally rare offering in one of Manhattan’s most prestigious addresses. Wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass, this luminous 2,609 sq ft home is one of only two 3-bedroom units currently available in the building—and the only one that has never been occupied. The dramatic ceiling heights, unique to only a handful of residences in the tower, elevate the already grand scale of the space and offer an unparalleled sense of volume and light. In addition to the three spacious bedrooms, the home includes a 4th flexible living space that can easily be used as a den, office, formal dining room, or media room to suit your lifestyle. In the listing photos, this area is virtually staged as a formal dining room to showcase its versatility. The enclosed kitchen is outfitted with pristine, never-used top-of-the-line appliances and sleek finishes, designed for both functionality and refined living. The adjacent living and dining areas flow seamlessly, creating an ideal space for entertaining or relaxing above the city. The primary suite is a serene retreat with East River views, a spa-like en-suite bathroom, and generous closet space. Two additional bedrooms offer flexible layouts for guests, family, or work-from-home arrangements. This residence is offered completely unfurnished and in pristine condition. Some images have been virtually staged to illustrate layout and scale. Two deeded garage parking spaces are included in the sale—an extraordinary value in NYC. Designed by world-renowned Foster + Partners, 50 United Nations Plaza is a full-service, white-glove condominium offering world-class amenities including 24-hour doorman and concierge, gated entrance, private motor court, fitness center, spa, and 75-foot swimming pool. Located just steps from the United Nations Headquarters, the building offers unmatched privacy, security, and sophistication for diplomats, executives, and discerning buyers. Shown by private appointment only.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
