Property Description for 140 East 56th Street, 12-B

Be the very first to enjoy this just-renovated studio residence in the heart of Midtown East. Thoughtfully redesigned with a modern sensibility, Residence 12B offers fresh finishes, great natural light, and open city views from the windows.

The large living space easily accommodates both living and sleeping areas, with brand new wide-plank hardwood floors adding warmth and elegance throughout. Three brand new custom closets, crafted by California Closets, provide smart storage and organization.

The windowed kitchen is both sleek and functional, outfitted with all-new stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and crisp white shaker cabinetry. The bathroom has been beautifully reimagined with marble-inspired tilework, a glass-enclosed shower, and a contemporary wood vanity. Every element of this home has been updated for modern comfort and style.

140 East 56th Street is a full-service condominium with 24-hour doorman, live-in resident manager, laundry facilities, and bike storage. Perfectly positioned between Lexington and Third Avenues, the building is moments from world-class shopping along Madison and Fifth Avenue, fine dining, Central Park, and multiple subway lines, including the 4/5/6, N/Q/R/W, and E/M trains.

At lease signing, the tenant will pay one month's rent and one month's security deposit. The landlord is not charging any fees in connection with the tenant's application for, or lease of, the apartment. However, because the unit is located in a condominium, the condominium and its managing agent charge the incoming resident the following fees: a $100 application processing fee, a $120 application initiation fee, a $25 credit check fee per applicant, a $65 digital submission fee, and a $500 move out fee.

Residence 12B is a pristine home ready for its very first occupant since renovation. See it today!

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
